Dr. Dileep More
Dr. Dileep More is an academician-turned-entrepreneur with a passion for heritage preservation and artisan empowerment. A Ph.D. holder from IIT Bombay in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, he formerly served as Assistant Professor at IIM Calcutta, where he taught operations and supply chain strategy. He is the founder of Divyam Leather Crafts Pvt. Ltd., and creator of KORAKARI — a brand dedicated to reviving the legacy of Kolhapuri chappals.
Through his ventures, he blends traditional craftsmanship with modern design and lean production practices. His work empowers rural artisans, especially women, by promoting sustainable livelihoods and global market access. Dr. More has also worked with organizations like the Deshpande Foundation to train over 200 leather artisans in quality systems and industrial efficiency.
